Among the Personal Data collected by Worldmec, independently or through third parties, there are: name; surname; phone number; company name; address; email; postal code; various types of Data; city; website; Usage Data; Cookies.

Complete details on each type of data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy or through specific informative texts displayed before the data is collected.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically during the use of Worldmec.Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by Worldmec is mandatory.

If the User refuses to provide it, it might be impossible for Worldmec to provide the Service. Where Worldmec specifically indicates that some Data is optional, Users are free not to communicate such Data, without consequences to the availability or operation of the Service.

Users who are uncertain about which Data is mandatory are encouraged to contact the Controller.
The possible use of Cookies - or other tracking tools - by Worldmec or by the owners of third-party services used by Worldmec, unless otherwise specified, is intended to provide the Service requested by the User, in addition to the other purposes described in this document and the Cookie Policy, if available.

The User assumes responsibility for third-party Personal Data obtained, published, or shared through Worldmec and guarantees that they have the right to communicate or disseminate it, releasing the Controller from any responsibility toward third parties.

 

Methods and Location of Data Processing

Processing Methods
The Controller adopts appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of Personal Data.

Processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods and logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Controller, in some cases, other parties involved in the organization of Worldmec (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external subjects (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) may have access to the Data, if necessary, as Data Processors appointed by the Controller. The updated list of Processors can always be requested from the Data Controller.

Legal Basis of Processing
The Controller processes Personal Data relating to the User if one of the following conditions applies:

  • The User has given consent for one or more specific purposes; Note: In some jurisdictions, the Controller may be allowed to process Personal Data without the User’s consent or another legal basis specified below, as long as the User does not object (“opt-out”) to such processing. This does not apply if the processing of Personal Data is governed by European legislation on Personal Data protection.
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the User and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof;
  • The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject;
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller;
  • The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or a third party.
    It is always possible to request the Controller to clarify the specific legal basis for each processing and to specify whether the processing is based on the law, is required by a contract, or is necessary to enter into a contract.

Data is processed at the Controller’s operating offices and in any other locations where the parties involved in the processing are situated. For further information, contact the Controller.

The User's Personal Data may be transferred to a country other than where the User is located. To obtain further information on the location of the processing, the User can refer to the section detailing the processing of Personal Data.

The User has the right to obtain information regarding the legal basis for Data transfers outside the European Union or to an international organization governed by public international law or consisting of two or more countries, such as the UN, as well as regarding the security measures adopted by the Controller to safeguard the Data.

The User can verify whether any such transfers occur by consulting the relevant sections of this document or by asking the Controller using the contact details provided at the beginning.

Retention PeriodData is processed and stored for the time required for the purposes for which it was collected.

Therefore:

  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Controller and the User will be retained until such contract has been fully performed.
  • Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Controller’s legitimate interests will be retained as long as needed to fulfill such purposes. Users may obtain further information regarding the legitimate interest pursued by the Controller in the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Controller.
    When processing is based on the User’s consent, the Controller may retain Personal Data for longer until such consent is withdrawn. Additionally, the Controller may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required for compliance with a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.

At the end of the retention period, Personal Data will be deleted. Therefore, upon the expiration of this period, the right to access, delete, rectify, and the right to data portability cannot be exercised.

Purposes of the Data ProcessingUser Data is collected to allow the Controller to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests (or those of its Users or third parties), detect any malicious or fraudulent activity, as well as for the following purposes: Contacting the User and Displaying content from external platforms. Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Controller.In particular, the User has the right to:

  • Withdraw consent at any time. The User has the right to withdraw consent where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
  • Object to the processing of their Data. The User can object to the processing of their Data when it is carried out on a legal basis other than consent. Further details on the right to object are provided in the section below.
  • Access their Data. The User has the right to obtain information on their Data processed by the Controller, on certain aspects of the processing, and to receive a copy of the Data processed.
  • Verify and request rectification. The User can verify the accuracy of their Data and request it be updated or corrected.
  • Obtain the restriction of processing. When certain conditions are met, the User can request the restriction of processing of their Data. In this case, the Controller will not process the Data for any purpose other than storing it.
  • Obtain the deletion or removal of their Personal Data. When certain conditions are met, the User can request the deletion of their Data by the Controller.
  • Receive their Data or have it transferred to another controller. The User has the right to receive their Data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have it transferred to another controller without hindrance. This provision is applicable when the Data is processed by automated means and the processing is based on the User’s consent, on a contract to which the User is a party, or on pre-contractual obligations thereof.
  • File a complaint. The User can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority or bring a legal action.

Details About the Right to Object
Where Personal Data is processed for a public interest, in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller, or for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, Users may object to such processing by providing a reason related to their particular situation.

Users should know that, if their Personal Data is processed for direct marketing purposes, they can object to that processing at any time without providing any justification. To determine if the Controller processes data for direct marketing purposes, Users can refer to the relevant sections of this document.

How to Exercise These Rights
To exercise their rights, Users can send a request to the Controller using the contact details provided in this document. Requests are handled free of charge by the Controller and processed as soon as possible, always within one month.
